Contrite or Contrary?

So as I look at my combo sewing room/ home office. I feel sense of annoyance.

Annoyance at myself for having allowed it to reach this state.

Annoyance that I am going to have to put it back together.

Annoyance that I am not a princess who can simply wave my hands and have it done for me.

So I am posting this, in the hopes that this publishing my disaster will shame me into action. Of course, I must acknowledge my own stubbornness. And acknowledge the perverse pleasure I get in bing stubborn.

Maybe I will change my ways.

Check back for updates...

Sarah, good luck with the room. If you are enlightened with any ideas for organizing, please share. My sewing room is in much worse shape.

Good luck organizing! I can't wait for the walls in my sewing room to get repaired so I can put it back in order.

I will come and help you! I love cleaning (nosing through) other peoples stuff. Then we can come do mine! You are getting the short end of the deal I must admit.

Sarah, the awesome thing about cleaning it up, just like with cleaning up the kitchen you will be soooooo inspired to create that you will just astound yourself!

It doesn't look that messy - it looks like you have been very creative - at least, that's what I keep telling myself. Thanks for sharing your shame (te-he) and let us know if it works.

I just took photos of my room to put up on my blog hoping it would motivate me. Being that I had to post back. I hope it keeps you motivated. I have seen photos of much worse. You can do it.

As long as your rotary cutter is always closed when not in use I don't see a problem with your spot (of course it looks just like MINE, which could be why!) LOL

Organized chaos is not desirable by many, but it helps me get stuff done (it's either that or the fact that I am married because I have been producing quite a lot lately!)

Mine looks far worse than yours, but I know where everything is. I think the end product is more important than where you are producing it.

Sarah, are you still cleaning?

Honestly, it doesn't look that bad. Mine tends to look about the same, but since it is in the middle of my house and I can see it every day, it's a bit more embarassing...must find a place to work that is not my dining table.
